I REALLY need to update this page more often!  Once every 6 months hardly seems enough.  But, times sure have changed since I launched jeffreyt.com back in 1999.  At that time, I was doing nights at 92.7 KISS-FM in Chicago.  The radio station didn't even have a website!  Listeners constantly asked for our web address.  They wanted a place to go online and share in everything Kiss.  So, in lieu of an official station website, I built my own!

Eventually, Kiss DID build a station website.  But, from 1999 through 2007, there really wasn't much DJ interaction on the websites of any stations where I worked.  So, this was my only outlet to cyber-communicate (apart from MySpace or Facebook).  Then, I got to WMZQ in Washington DC.  Clear Channel had a slightly different approach.  They were SO invested in online content, there was more pressure to blog than there was to have compelling ON-AIR content!  While I didn't agree, I complied.  So, there were a slew of daily blogs.  Add to those the 15-18 hour workdays, and there simply wasn't time to update THIS site.

As I tell anyone willing to listen (or read), I am infinitely happier at CBS Radio.  There is so much more respect and creativity here.  It's such a refreshing change for me as both an air talent and a programmer.  However, blogging is STILL a major part of the gig.  So, I guess you'll have to settle for just an occasional update to jeffreyt.com!  I know you'll lose sleep over this ;-)

Quick update on all things KOOL: 2011 was an incredible year!  I'm so proud to be part of the team that brought 94.5 back to ratings domination in Phoenix.  We achieved our first #1 book in the PPM era!  Actually, it was our first (PPM OR diary) in nearly 5 years.  We set some records, too.  KOOL became the first CBS Classic Hits station to have two #1 books back-to-back.  The following month, we then became the first CBS Classic Hits station to have THREE consecutive #1 books!  KOOL was #1 three out of four quarters in 2011, as well.  Summer is NEVER good to our format.  As for my midday shift, the story is the same: three #1 quarters.  Though, I still came in third for Summer.  That was better than it could have been!

To give me more time to focus on my programming duties (and have a LIFE!), management was kind enough to shorten my airshift to three hours.  So, you can now catch me MON-FRI from 10a-1p (MST).  CLICK HERE for the webstream.  Or, just download the Radio.com app on your Droid, iPhone or iPad.   I sure hope you'll listen!  It's taken me a couple years to get back to my fun, pre-DC self.  But, I think we're about there.

Oh, by the by, if you're looking for something a little...different...check out the streaming player below.  Drop me a line and let me know what you think!
